Council Plan
The Council Plan sets out the key directions and main objectives to achieve our vision of a green, sustainable and vibrant Banyule for a healthy, connected and inclusive community.
We review and update the Council Plan each year so that we can deliver on our objectives. As part of the review process, we ask the community how satisfied they are with our performance over the past 12 months as well as what they think the priorities should be for the following year. This is a vital part of our review process that ensures what we do meets community needs, remains relevant and responds to the changing circumstances and environment in which we live.
We are now planning for the development of the final year of the 2017-2021 Council Plan and would love to hear from you.
We want to know how well you think we have done in delivering our Council Plan.
See what we said we would do in each area of the Council Plan and then let us know your feedback.

Background
Council Plan Framework
There are many areas of work Council undertakes to make Banyule a great place to live, work and play.
To guide our planning for how we do this, we have a Council Plan Strategic Framework 2017-2021. Some of the key features of the framework are the Vision, Objectives and Key Directions.
These features stay the same for the four years the Council Plan covers. What changes each year, are the actions that sit under each of the key directions. These actions are identified based on community consultation, research, data, legislative and policy requirements and key sector influences.
Our Vision
Banyule, a green, sustainable and vibrant place for a healthy, connected and inclusive community.
Our Objectives
- People - Strong, Healthy and Inclusive Communities
- Planet - Environmental Sustainability
- Place - Great Places and Spaces
- Participation - Engagement and Advocacy
- Performance - Efficiency and Good Governance
Our Council plan is developed every 4 years and reviewed each year. Check out previous year plans.
