About the space
EJ Andrews Reserve is a small reserve in Briar Hill. The playground has existing wooden play equipment, a swing set, shade trees and a concrete path.
This Reserve is well-used by local families and will be rehabilitated after its use by the Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP) as an equipment and storage area during building of the new Montmorency railway station and duplication of the Hurstbridge rail line.
E J Andrews Reserve is scheduled for upgrades in 2023. In partnership with LXRP, we will be delivering improvements to the existing playground. The reserve will be upgraded with a new wheelchair accessible playground and extensive landscaping, as per the actions in the Banyule Public Open Space Plan 2016-2031.
We are excited to continue to provide a high quality playground experience at EJ Andrews Reserve and would like your feedback on the concept plan. Share your thoughts until 22 July 2022.
