Community votes deliver $780,000 for local parks

Thanks to the support of our community, Banyule has secured $780,000 in Pick my Park Round 2 funding for four local open space projects. Community votes helped secure funding for improvements at:

This funding means these projects can be delivered sooner, creating more opportunities for people to play, connect and enjoy local parks and open spaces.

While the Ivanhoe East - Ivanhoe Park Youth Space project was not successful in receiving Pick my Park funding, we remain committed to the project and it will continue to progress as planned.

Combined with Round 1 funding, Banyule has now secured a total of $1.875 million through the Pick my Park program.

Visit Engage Victoria for program information and updates.

Five Banyule park projects were included in the public voting round of the Pick My Park program. Community members were able to vote for up to three projects to support applications for Victorian Government funding.

The Banyule park projects included:

• Greensborough - Delta Reserve and Diamond Village improvements
• Greensborough - Greensborough War Memorial Park, youth space
• Heidelberg Heights - Johnson Reserve, new basketball half-court
• Heidelberg West - Malahang Reserve, playground renewal
• Ivanhoe East - Ivanhoe Park, youth space
