Work on the new Hakea Street playground is complete.

We consulted with the community and received feedback from 20 community members through an online survey and emails sent directly to our Open Space Planning Team.

We used your comments to make changes to the proposed designs so this playground will better serve the community.

Some of the changes include:

• More seating
• Adding a see-saw
• Slide colour (as per the colouring competition winners drawing)

Hakea Street Reserve is a small reserve in Watsonia North. It has an existing playground, half court, open grass space and some shade trees.

This playground is very popular with local families and is now scheduled for renewal. We are excited to continue to provide a high quality playground experience at Hakea Street Reserve for many years to come, and we are seeking your feedback on the proposal.

The information collected by Banyule City Council will only be used to notify the competition winner and will not be displayed publicly. Winners will be notified at the completion of the consultation.
