Project update
We consulted with the community and received feedback from 14 community members through the online survey and emails sent directly to our Open Space Planning Team.
We used your comments to make changes to the proposed designs so that this playground would better serve the community.
We heard what you said and some of the changes include:
- Additional seating throughout the park
- Rocker changed to a see-saw
- Scaling wall and twist wall added to cater for older children
- Whole reserve tidied up including fence painting and mulch and vegetation clean up
Some residents requested the fitness equipment to be delivered as separate stations along the path network. Unfortunately due to levels, budget and access requirements to the wetlands we are unable to achieve that outcome.
Construction is now complete
About the space
Arthur Streeton Reserve is a medium sized reserve in Yallambie. It has an existing playground, some open grass space, ponds and shade trees. Recent path additions to the reserve have created a walking circuit.
This playground is very popular with local families and is now scheduled for renewal with the inclusion of new exercise equipment. We are excited to continue to provide a high quality playground experience at Arthur streeton Reserve for many years to come and we are seeking your feedback on the proposal.
