Smoking and drinking alcohol in Banyule

Smoking and drinking alcohol are legal activities, and people have the right to choose whether they take part in them. At the same time, our parks, streets and public spaces are shared by many people with different needs and expectations.

As Banyule continues to grow and change, we're seeking feedback on current alcohol-free areas, as well as a proposed smoke-free area along the Greensborough Walk.

This review will help us understand how these spaces are used, whether current arrangements are working well, and whether any changes should be considered. We want to hear from community, businesses, visitors and local organisations about their experiences and perspectives.

Your feedback will help inform future decisions and ensure Banyule's public spaces remain welcoming, inclusive and enjoyable for everyone.
