Thank you for your feedback on the these important documents.

What we did

In October/November 2022 we asked for your feedback on the Sporting Facilities User Guide and Allocation Policy and Sporting Facilities Capital Works Policy through:

  • emails and phone call to sporting clubs and external stakeholders
  • the Club Chat newsletter
  • Shaping Banyule email campaign to registered members

We received 26 submissions through the online survey, 16 for the Sporting Reserves and User Guide and Allocation Policy and 10 for the Sporting Facilities Capital Works Policy.

What you told us

Overall the feedback for both documents was positive with clubs understanding the intent to provide clarity and direction around Council processes and decision making when it comes to sporting facilities' use, allocation and investment.

What we heard

Sporting facilities

Sports participation is an important aspect of community life as it contributes to people’s health and wellbeing and creates community connections.

We commit to our sporting clubs by providing community sports infrastructure and facilities, as well as programs that support participation and build capability.

The Sporting Facilities User Guide and Allocation Policy and the Sporting Facilities Capital Works Policy will guide the management, criteria for use, allocation and framework for the development of our sports facilities in Banyule.
