How are we involved?

Council currently supports the prosperity of local businesses and provides a range of services to assist businesses to establish and thrive in Banyule, including;

• Assisting businesses to start up and grow including providing start up resources, training and mentoring assistance.
• Running programs to recognise and celebrate business excellence including the Banyule BestBiz Awards and the Northern Business Achievement Awards.
• Providing business networking opportunities though business breakfasts and Women in Business lunches.
• Delivering streetscape improvements and place making initiatives to activate business precincts and build identity and appeal.
• Delivering business communications (e.g. Banyule Business website and Facebook) to provide local business with the latest news and information.
• Facilitating retail marketing and management schemes supporting the activities of 11 active trader associations across Banyule.
