Banyule Grants

The Banyule Grants Program provides groups, organisations and individuals with financial support for initiatives that strengthen community. Each year we deliver a community grants program with a total pool of grants worth $150,000. We invite applications from community groups, non-profit organisations and individuals to apply for grants that assist the community and align with the key priorities of Council's City Plan.

Developing the Grants Program Policy

We are currently creating a new Grants Program Policy. A new policy is required to apply a consistent and transparent approach to grants programs across Council. The aim of the policy is to document Council's aims and objectives, manage risk, and articulate the decision-making process and assessment criteria.

Key stages of this project

The policy will be developed in partnership with Council's grants administration officers and management team and through consultation with communtiy members.

Phase 1: Research and benchmark best practice within the grants community

Phase 2: Consult with internal and external stakeholders

Phase 3: Develop a draft of the Banyule Grants Program policy

Phase 4: Seek endorsement of the policy
