During consultation It was also identified that river access and Main Yarra Trail safety were important issues to the community. Further considerations are underway to address these issues, and will involve further detailed design consultation for these areas.
The final feasibility report will be completed by August 2018 and will include concept designs and costings. No funding has been sought for the delivery of the project at this stage.

Banyule, Manningham and Nillumbik Council's, Canoeing Victoria and the Melbourne Canoe Club, are inviting you to 'have a say' on the Westerfolds Park Paddle Sports Plan.
The plan is part of a feasibility study to investigate enhancements at Westerfolds Park. It aims to improve facilities for park users including paddlers, Main Yarra Trail users and people participating in recreational activities. The plan includes a Regional Paddle Sports Centre providing increased boat storage, multipurpose spaces, a kiosk and change facilities along with improvements to park and river access.

Project Funding and Background
This regional feasibility study is being funded through a Community Sports Infrastructure Fund grant from Sport and Recreation Victoria and is being undertaken with the sites land managers, Parks Victoria and Melbourne Water.
