Project update - October 2024

8 October 2024

In October and November, we are replacing the pavement on both sides of the East Ivanhoe Shopping Village. We’ll maintain pedestrian access as much as possible except for when new path sections are being laid.

What we’re doing in October and November

  • Demolishing the existing pavement in stages on both sides of Lower Heidelberg Road.
  • Preparing and installing exposed aggregate concrete pavement. We’ll need to close footpath access to shops (in small sections) for one day per stage while we wait for the concrete to set and finish the exposed aggregate surface.
  • Completing works in small sections at a time to minimise disruption to residents and businesses as much as safely possible.

There will be night works to minimise the number of days we need to restrict footpath and shop access.
