NELP Community Development Fund

NELP is offering annual grants to community organisations during construction of the North East Link Project.

The categories available include:

Up to $10,000 for a one – off initiative that aims to improve community connectedness and participation
$20,000 for festivals, events, and installations that bring local people together
$20,000-$100,000 for improvements to local community, sporting and recreational facilities and local environments
$100,000 for community partnerships

In 2022, many Banyule organisations were successful recipients of these grants. Watsonia Tennis Club was granted over $90,000 to upgrade its clubhouse. With many other sporting clubs and schools also benefiting, receiving electronic scoreboards, outdoor spaces, oval upgrades, new walking trails, and hall upgrades.
